'Primordion (also spelled Primordium) is a peculiar mineral found on Earth. It is currently unknown how rare or abundant this mineral is, causing many companies, organizations and nations to vie for it.
Prior to the star Panacea going supernova, Primordion did not exist, or rather it wasn't discovered. It is common knowledge and a known fact that the energy from Panacea seeped into the Earth and altered the genes of its inhabitants resulting in the birth of the Outliers. What was overlooked however, is the affects that same energy would have on the planet itself. The molecular structure of several unknown pre-existing minerals were altered in such a way where they replicate and generate the very same energy that Panacea itself emitted.
What makes Primordion so valuable is its ability to generate an almost limitless amount of energy. A single grain of Primordion is able to significantly power an entire building the size of a skyscraper for several years alone. Due to how volatile and hazardous Panacea's own energies were, forcing Earth to propel their technological advances by decades, suffice to say its destructive capabilities in terms of weaponry are rather substantial. It was later revealed that Primordion seems to have a certain reaction when near or, rather in the possession of an Outlier. The energy emitted by Primordion seems to significantly enhance their respective variants alongside their physical parameters. Still, just as Panacea itself was dangerous when existed, so too is Primordion. In large quantities if not properly contained and protective measures aren't met, it can have adverse affects.
The energy emitted from the mineral over time, causes humans to become incredibly sick, growing thin and frail. It is theorized that the mineral is somehow siphoning from the bioelectrical field generated by humans and other living beings. For Outliers, while it does enhance them it also alters their psyche over time, causing them to become crazed and manic. Overtime, their body itself breaks down ending in their death as their body is unable to properly contain and manage all the power coursing through it.

Villages founded atop or near a vein of Superium, even if located in a third world country or an impoverished area are physically stronger and healthier than their more advanced counterparts, their life spans extended by many folds. The healing properties of the alloy vary dependent on not only how it is processed but the amount of Superium left and applied. Naturally the metal is able to restore itself to its natural state, causing walls made of Superium if damaged to naturally recover and return to their undamaged state without any additional or outside aid. When applied to a person in terms of armor, weapons or other tools and accessories, it maintains its restorative capabilities and bestows its holder with its healing properties albeit potentially diluted.

- Healing: Superium naturally holds healing properties, able to seemingly cure any illness, sickness, poison or disease. Injuries heal at a remarkably heightened rate. The longer a person is in proximity to the alloy, the more consistent the affects, causing their body to be in a constant state of healing, ensuring that ultimately they are always at their healthiest. This also serves to make them physically stronger and durable, possessing more stamina and vigor than their fellow man. It is an affect that may cause such individuals to mistakenly be seen has possessing a Variant of some sort when that is not the case.
- Regeneration: In its purest or most concentrated state, the healing properties of the alloy allow those in possession of it to reflect the metals reconstructive properties onto themselves. Namely, any injury even the loss of limbs or other body parts is healed, with the lost limb or body part being restored perfectly. While the regeneration is at an accelerated state it is by no means instantaneous.
- Accelerated Healing: Superium that has been processed and thus not pure, being combined with other material and spread out finds its healing properties diluted. While still bestowing its wearer or wielder with its healing properties they are at a weaker state, being incapable of restoring any missing limb or body part. This seems specific to the person in possession of the processed alloy, as items or objects made from the processed metal still hold the ability to restore themselves if damaged, just at a far slower rate.
- Decelerated Aging: Those living near high concentrations of Superium, while benefiting from its healing affects, also find that their bodies age at a fare slower rate than your average human being. The longer they reside by these high concentrations of the alloy, the stronger the affects. This affect seems permanent as leaving from the area of the vein doesn't reverse or undo the affect.

There exists stories, in written form, by Spanish Conquistadors of Aztec warriors who were unkillable, possessed incredible strength and could seemingly teleport closer to their victims when not being watched. Only catastrophic damage from something akin to a ships cannon could ever keep them dead or at least destroy the body to the point where it could no longer function. Because of these warriors the Conquistadors lost the Aztec people, literally, as they all but vanished into thin air. All that remained were more of the masks worn by the unkillable warriors, these masks were promptly destroyed after an incident occurred when a drunken Conquistador put the mask on and became possessed. He slaughtered everyone in the camp, save for three people who managed to obliterate his body via cannon ball. All of these masks were destroyed, save for one, which was sold for a large sum and made its way around to different collectors through the years, while also claiming new victims throughout the years as well. People could not resist putting the mask on and once it was on it was as if they were pushed out of the driver seat of their body and it was replaced by a vengeful spirit whose only goal is to kill all those who invaded their land.

Supernatural Strength: Once possessed the wearer of the mask gains enough strength to punch through concrete walls, bend small metal objects, break handcuffs, and can turn a car over on its side or its roof when lifting.
Supernatural Durability: The wearer of the mask becomes a nigh unstoppable tank. Small arms fire, fire, falls from incredible heights , being hit by a speeding vehicle, or small explosions (such as grenades) do not stop the possessed person only slowing or stunning them momentarily. The only way to truly stop them is by obliterating the body with a large explosion, artillery fire, or decapitation. Failure to do any of these properly and the possessed will continue to move even without the proper organs to function.
Short Range Teleportation: The mask grants the possessed the ability to teleport short distances to catch up to the target they are chasing. The only stipulation to said teleportation is that no eyes must be on them during said transportation. This means no one can be looking at them when the teleportation takes place.
Regeneration: If the mask takes a liking to a particular body it will make attempts to regenerate damage it has taken instead of just letting the body fall apart. This will make it more prone to retreat from conflict if heavy damage is inflicted on it. Because of this regenerative ability it can even be placed upon corpses.
Evolution: The mask is capable of evolving, increasing the possessed's durability, strength and even able to develop magical abilities to further enact its vengeance. The more the mask is exposed to specific stimuli that defeats it the more it evolves to combat against it such as when humans moved on from muskets to automatic rifles the mask was able to enhance the possessed body's durability to stave off damage from automatic rifles.
